Welcome to Stouffville, ON!
Stouffville is located just north of
Markham,
Ontario
and is considered to be the main urban area within the town on
Whitchurch-Stouffville. The town was established in 1804 by Abraham
Stouffer and the area was originally named Stoufferville. Abraham built
a sawmill when he established the area and soon afterwards other small
shops were built near the mill. Today, visitors to Stouffville will
find plenty of recreational activities to be enjoyed. Golf enthusiasts
will enjoy playing a round of golf at one of the area's many golf
courses, while art lovers may spend an afternoon browsing through a
variety of art at one of the local galleries. The
Willow Spring Winery
located in Stouffville is another fun place to visit. They offer
on-site wine tasting and retail sales. The Stouffville Country Market
is the place to go for fresh produce and unique gift items, while
nature lovers will relish the outdoors at Bruce's Conservation Area.
Visitors here may spend the day hiking, playing field sports or
savouring a quiet picnic.
